Two Fishing Poems for you by Scott Harker
A Fishing Moment by Scott Harker The sun is high enough My mind is drifting, too, |
THE PURSUIT OF FISH has been one of humankind’s longest and most pleasurable tasks.
In the beginning, it was all about food. Today, for most of us, it is just a chance to be outdoors – where we can take the opportunity to pit our wits and skills against a cunning and all to often successful foe.
Of course, it is still great to cook and savor one’s catch of the day – and to tell fishing tales around a campfire or a dining room table.
Competing with a Bearby Scott Harker ___________________________________________ A man and a bear were out fishing, With growls and insults they were “dishing” Each other about Who could catch the most trout, Funny thing is, the man is now missing. |
